To make setting up your Facebook Fundraiser super easy and fun we’ve crafted four inspirational stories for you to share!

Story #1 – STEM on College Campuses!

Help bring STEM education to Indigenous students this Giving Tuesday! #GiveNative

Your donation will help Native students like Tvetene, who grew up in the remote Alaskan village of Cantwell. He attended college at the University of Anchorage where he received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Today, he is pursuing his doctorate in environmental engineering and will soon become a leader in renewable energy for Alaska.

Your contribution will make an impact whether you donate $5 or $500. When you give to AISES, you are supporting Indigenous students and professionals in being competitive and successful in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.

Every little bit helps. Facebook pays all the processing fees for you, so 100% of your donation goes directly to AISES. Your contribution is tax deductible, and you will receive a charitable receipt. Thank you for your support!

Story #2 – 4 feet tall, 125 pounds, 12 mph!

Please help me to help bring STEM education to Indigenous students this Giving Tuesday. Let’s #GiveNative!

What’s 4 feet tall, 125 pounds, and goes 12 mph? A robot designed and created by Indigenous youth! When you give to AISES, you’re investing in the future of Indigenous people like the kids at Cass Lake-Bena High School. 92% of the students at Cass Lake Bena High school are Indigenous. And those robots, built by those students, are made possible by your generous gifts!

AISES, through your donations, is able to help support schools serving Indigenous youth all over the country. For the kids at Cass Lake-Bena High School, this meant higher quality parts for their robots which made them more competitive. It meant travel money so they could compete in more robotics events.

Kids involved in the program do everything from build robots, to programming, to marketing to graphic design, and more. They’re learning all sorts of skills that will propel them toward a STEM career and a bright future.

Please donate to my Giving Tuesday campaign and help me to raise money for this important cause! Your #GiveNative contribution will make an impact on students learning the power of STEM and robotics, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Facebook pays all the processing fees for you, so 100% of your donation goes directly to AISES.

Thank you for your support. When you give to AISES, you are supporting their work to provide the best tools, information, and skills to help Indigenous students and professionals be competitive and successful in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Story #3 – Giving Indigenous Kids Hope

Please help me to help bring STEM education to Indigenous students this Giving Tuesday. Let’s #GiveNative!

You’re investing in the future of Indigenous people like the students at Eagle View, South Dakota on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation. Tiffany Moore, the Native Youth Community Project (NYCP) Program Manager for AISES, wants Indigenous kids to excel and she spends her days and nights making this happen thanks to an AISES grant that makes it possible for the schools to have the STEM equipment the classes need. They have STEM nights and summer camps. These experiences give students a pathway to furthering their education and having successful STEM careers. The elders even get involved!

Each year, ten students are able to attend the AISES National Conference and Leadership Conference through an AISES grant, which gives students a glimpse into what is possible for their future!

Please donate to my Giving Tuesday campaign and help me to raise money for this important cause! Your contribution will help Engineering professionals like Cody to mentor and bring forward the next seven generations of Indigenous STEM professionals. Whether you donate $5 or $500, very little bit helps. Facebook pays all the processing fees for you, so 100% of your donation goes directly to AISES. Thank you for your support.

When you give to American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), you are supporting their work to provide the best tools, information, and skills to help Indigenous students and professionals be competitive and successful in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Story #4 – Math, Mentorship, and Connection

Please help me to help bring STEM education to Indigenous students this Giving Tuesday. Let’s #GiveNative!

You’re investing in the future of Indigenous people like Judith and Rachel. They started meeting monthly over zoom as soon as they were paired by AISES. Rachel has a BS in Math and Judith is also pursuing a Math degree. This is just one of the many areas they have bonded over.

Judith’s busy schedule studying and working on campus brings back memories of Rachel’s campus life, she had some of the best memories getting her undergraduate degree. They’ve been able to cover many topics: internships, career path, interview tips, resume reviews and pointers, and just about life in general.

They both look forward to their monthly conversations and are so grateful to AISES for pairing them up!

Rachel was recently awarded the 2022 Professional of the Year Award – Blazing Flame! As its name suggests, the Blazing Flame Award is presented to an individual who “blazes” a path for Indigenous people in STEM careers. This award recognizes individuals with 10 or more years of professional experience with significant accomplishments in advancing STEM education and careers.

Please donate to my Giving Tuesday campaign and help me to raise money for this important cause! Your contribution will help Engineering professionals like Cody to mentor and bring forward the next seven generations of Indigenous STEM professionals.
