Starting a Professional Chapter

The following guidelines help Professional Chapters exist as strong, effective, and efficient bodies that function in cohesion with the AISES National Office.

Membership Requirements

Each AISES Professional Chapter must have a minimum of five members, of which three must be General members, in good standing with AISES National Office. The members listed on the petition to form a Professional Chapter (hereinafter referred to as the organizers or organizing committee) must be current with their AISES National membership

Documents and Forms

The following documents are required to apply to an AISES Professional Chapter:

• Application for the Establishment of a Professional Chapter 
• Verification of AISES Memberships
• Copies of meeting minutes reflecting:
  • Election of Officers
  • Adoption of Code of Conduct
  • Adoption of Safe Camp Policy
  • Adoption of Affiliation Agreement and Professional Bylaws
• Signed Affiliation Agreement
• Signed Professional Bylaws

Membership Requirements

Join or renew your membership in AISES at this link- https://www.aises.org/membership

Each AISES Professional Chapter must have a minimum of five AISES members, with all of chapter members being individual members of AISES. Professional Membership dues are only $65. (Free dues waivers are available for recent college graduates and anyone facing a hardship). To fill out the waiver application, go to this link- https://forms.aises.org/form/dues-waiver
