Dr. Tiffany Smith as the 2024 NASPA Pillar of the Profession

Dr. Tiffany Smith, AISES Director of Research and Career Support and Sequoyah Fellow, has been recognized as a Pillar of the Profession by the NASPA Foundation Board for her remarkable contributions to the student affairs/higher education profession. This is not just an accolade, but a testament to Dr. Smith’s almost 20 years of tireless service to the field she loves so much.

NASPA is the professional home for the field of student affairs, serving the field through professional development as well as advocacy for inclusive and equitable practices. One of the ways we advance the profession is by recognizing leaders in our field and celebrating their immense contributions.

The Pillars of the Profession award is one of NASPA’s highest honors. It allows our community of over 15,000 members to pay tribute to a select group of people who have served as leaders, educators, mentors and scholars in student affairs and higher education. Each individual is nominated and supported by colleagues, friends, former students and others who find them to be deserving of this honor.
