A citizen of the Cherokee Nation, Laura Vicenti rejoins AISES as Engagement and Advocacy Manager to engage with and expand the membership of AISES. 

Laura grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and has spent much of her life living and working throughout the state. She earned a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder and another B.A. in Environmental Studies from Fort Lewis College in Durango. 

While living in Durango, Laura became a staff member of Fort Lewis College in the Division of Student Affairs. Starting out as an Interim Residence Director, she gained experience in community development, facilities management, and student development. She continued her time in the Division of Student Affairs by transitioning into a different role at the Native American Center implementing academic support services. Overall, she has six years of experience in Student Affairs. Additionally, she also served on various committees and was appointed to a state commission. 

When not working, Laura enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her wife and their family.
