Executive and Operations
Operations Officer

Chris brings a wealth of organization and leadership experience to AISES. Hired as the Operation Officer, he works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Deputy Director to analyze and improve organizational process and workflow. Chris also advises and enforces standards and procedures, implements policy, assists in human resource and recruitment, and creates an enjoyable company culture.

Chris is extremely adept at communicating and managing relationships with key partners and vendors. He has a strong ability to coordinate different teams to foster the exchange of ideas and provide learning opportunities, especially as AISES grows.

Prior to joining AISES, Chris worked as a program officer at the Oweesta Corporation – a Native CDFI intermediary created to increase economic development in Native communities. Here he focused on the successful delivery of financial education and asset building programs with tribal government and nonprofit organizations. As a master facilitator and coach, he is passionate about financial education and he gained immense satisfaction in being the force behind discovery, group problem-solving, conflict and idea creation. Chris is excited to bring similar opportunities for growth and learning to his AISES colleagues, and to succeed in his own personal and professional abilities.

Chris belongs to the Pillager Band of White Earth Ojibwe. He studied Communications at Colorado University in Boulder, along with 12 years of experience as a Real Estate Broker specializing in residential sales. He was instrumental in mentoring and teaching first-time homebuyers on how to qualify for community based, as well as conventional residential loan products.

Chris lives in Denver with his partner David, two fur babies Carter and Matisse, and at times obnoxious, African Grey named Gus.
