The vision of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is for the next seven generations of Native people to be successful, respected, influential and contributing members of our vast and ever changing global community. Founded in 1977, AISES is focused on substantially increasing the representation of American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, First Nations and other indigenous peoples of North America in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) studies and careers.
This year AISES proudly celebrates 40 years supporting Native presence in STEM - an accomplishment made possible by numerous individuals, organizations, corporations, agencies, tribes and educational institutions. Collectively we’ve made tremendous impact and we look forward to another vibrant 40 years.
AISES seeks to identify partners who are making a difference in student achievement nationwide to join us in improving educational outcomes for North American Indigenous students. To catalyze these efforts, AISES is organizing a campaign to support Natives in STEM. #PledgeNativesInSTEM
We are seeking pledges from students and faculty, colleges and universities, corporations, nonprofits, communities, and others to improve STEM education and opportunities. Together we can raise awareness, facilitate dialogue around the importance of STEM in Indian country, and gather commitment from partners to support the improvement of STEM education and opportunities for all.
We continuously invite and encourage organizations to partner with AISES on this journey. Thank you for pledging and giving back to the community!
