The first annual AISES Leadership Summit takes place on February 17-20, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya on Santa Ana Pueblo near Albuquerque, New Mexico. The summit will focus on building skill and aptitude levels of AISES members in the realm of professional and career development—to better prepare AISES members to attain jobs and careers in the fields of STEM.

The 2012 NAISEF takes place March 22-24, 2012 in Albuquerque, NM. The annual National American Indian Science & Engineering Fair (NAISEF) provides an opportunity for American Indian/Alaskan Native students to actively participate in a science-based learning environment and create science projects that can be shared with peers, teachers, and educators.
