AISES Energy Scholarship, Mentorship and Workforce Development Cohort Program

Call for Applications

Accepting applications on a rolling basis

Final deadline: Friday, February 26, 2021 or when all slots are filled.

 

Attention two-year college students! Are you interested in energy and plan on pursuing a STEM degree at a four-year college? If so, the AISES Energy Scholarship and Workforce Development program is for you! You could receive:

  • $3,000 academic scholarship ($1,500 in Spring semester and $1,500 in Fall semester)
  • Free registration to attend the AISES’ Leadership Summit, April 2 and 9, 2021
  • Travel scholarship to attend AISES National Conference September 23-25, 2021 in Phoenix, AZ
  • Mentorship - facilitated, virtual and in-person mentorship between students and AISES professional members in Energy and related fields and between students and AISES college chapters at relevant 4-year institutions.
  • Transition Guidance - Quarterly webinars to help you transition to a four- year program, career exploration, and workforce preparation.

Student Status

Students must be a U.S. citizen, enrolled at an accredited two-year college, be interested in energy, and plan on pursuing a STEM degree at a four-year college.

 

Tribal Citizenship

Applicants must be an enrolled citizen or a decedent of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village; or Native Hawaiian or decedent from a Native Hawaiian; or Pacific Islander or decedent from Pacific Islander; or Indigenous person of Canada. Enrollment documents and/or a copy of birth certificate(s) showing descendancy from an enrolled citizen, Indigenous group of Canada, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander are acceptable. Applicant may also, instead, provide a copy of their Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood or Certificate of Degree of Alaska Native Blood (CDIB) card. Please note, AISES may not always have scholarships available for non-citizens of the United States.

 

AISES Membership

All scholarships require applicants be current AISES members at the time of application. All applicants will be required to enter a valid AISES membership number. To get a membership number join AISES or retrieve your membership number through AISES Membership Portal. AISES membership is now FREE for all pre-college and college students!
