Announcing the Annual Meeting of the

AISES Membership & Link to Materials

UPDATE – AISES will not ask the members to vote electronically after the October 17 meeting as previously announced. Instead, resolutions will be presented to the membership and a comment period offered.

The annual meeting of the AISES Membership will be held during the AISES National Conference, a virtual event running from October 15 – 17, 2020. The Membership Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 17 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM MDT. This meeting will be delivered live to those who have registered for the Conference. Those in attendance will be logged and counted. Note: Registration for the AISES National Conference is now closed.

The Governance Committee requests AISES Member input on a series of resolutions to modify the AISES Bylaws. The meeting materials and resolutions will be posted here https://www.aises.org/2020-members-meeting. Please review the resolutions in advance of the meeting on Saturday, October 17. Any discussion during the meeting will take place via chat.

In addition to the chats during the meeting, beginning October 17 at 3:30 PM MDT, AISES will open a comment period for members to offer additional discussion items, comments, and/or suggested edits. Please comment by e-mail to Amy Weinstein at aweinstein@aises.org no later than Monday, October 26 with the resolution number (ex. #X20A-AISES) in the subject line. After the comment period ends, the information will be shared with the Governance Committee and the suggestions will be considered for inclusion into the resolutions. The Governance Committee will then bring the resolutions to the AISES Board at its meeting in December 2020. Once finalized and recommended by the AISES Board to move to the Membership for consideration, the resolutions will be presented to the Membership at a special meeting date to be determined and a virtual vote will be conducted.

For those unable to attend the AISES National Conference, the Membership Meeting will be recorded and made available online following the Conference.

The State of AISES will be presented as part of the AISES National Conference on Saturday, October 17 from 12:30 – 1:00 PM MDT and will also be available on the AISES website after the Conference.
