DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program
The Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program provides supplemental awards for Ph.D. students to conduct part of their graduate thesis research at a DOE laboratory for 3 to 12 consecutive months.

The Certified Federal Surveyors Program (CFedS) Scholarship 
co-administered by the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) and it provides unique and extensive training for PLS in understanding federal survey processes. CFedS is designed to: increase the pool of qualified surveyors to perform work on or near federal interest lands, including Indian lands; to ensure such surveys comply with federal regulations and policies, decreasing the chance and expense of rework; and provide opportunities to increase self-determination for Indian tribes.

Mathematics & Science for Minority Students
The (MS)2 program was founded in 1977 to address the compelling need to cultivate the mathematical and scientific abilities of economically disadvantaged African American, Latino, and Native American high school students from targeted cities and communities across the United States. In a residential setting on the historic Phillips Academy campus, the three-summer program challenges students intellectually and exposes them to peers and educators with diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and aspirations. This competitive and rigorous program is free of charge for all students selected.

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) envisions widespread, inclusive, and equitable environments in engineering, academia, and industry that embrace individual differences and leverage diversity for a better engineered tomorrow. The ASEE Diversity Committee wants students from all walks of life and grade levels to share their community story by submitting an entry into the essay and/or video contests.

YES! Program
YES is designed for Native high school and college students who have an interest in business, entrepreneurship, or related fields. Attendees under 18 years of age require parental or guardian permission.

Champions for Change- The Center for Native American Youth (CNAY) is now accepting applications for the 2017 class of Champions for Change! Champions for Change are young Native Americans (ages 14 to 22) who demonstrate leadership and service within tribal and urban Indian communities, schools, and/or programs.

NASA Internships 
Educational hands-on traineeships that provide unique NASA-related research and operational experiences for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students as well as educators. These internships integrate participants with career professionals emphasizing mentor-directed, degree-related, real-world task completion. During the internship participants engage in scientific or engineering research, development, and operations activities. In addition, there are non-technical internship opportunities to engage in professional activities which support NASA business and administrative processes.

Ecology & Evolutionary Biology + Neurobiology & Behavior: PhD DIVERSITY & INCLUSION Recruitment Weekend
The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB) and the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior (NBB) are seeking applications for our first Diversity and Inclusion Recruitment Weekend. This event will connect students from underrepresented backgrounds with faculty before they apply for graduate school. It is intended for those who will be in their third or fourth year of college in Spring 2017, or students who have graduated and are considering graduate school.

Summer Research Program in Biophysics
This 11-week scholarship program hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, introduces underrepresented* students to the field of biophysics. The program includes lectures, seminars, lab work, team-building activities and field trips. The Summer Research Program is designed to reflect a graduate-level research program. Students who are US citizens or permanent residents and who have a strong quantitative background in basic or applied sciences are encouraged to apply.

The Institute for Broadening Participation (IBP)
The mission of the Institute for Broadening Participation is to increase diversity in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) workforce. NGA Student Internship Program - NGA views student employees as our future workforce; therefore, work assigned to students is professional in nature and is conducted in a learning environment that provides each student real-world experience and an opportunity to be evaluated for potential long-term employment. Student employment assignments are open to associate, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students and are based on entry-level professional job descriptions, which will involve a great deal of independent and team oriented work under the guidance of a senior-level supervisor and mentors. 

Educational Partnership Program Undergraduate Scholarship
The EPP/MSI Undergraduate Scholarship Program provides scholarships for two years of undergraduate study to rising junior undergraduate students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields that directly support NOAA's mission. Participants conduct research at a NOAA facility during two paid summer internships. Since 2001, over 186 students have completed the program and over 75% go on to graduate school.

Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship
Over the past 10 years, the Hollings Scholarship Program has provided an average of 118 undergraduate students per year with tuition support and paid summer internships with NOAA across the country. Hollings has a growing network of over 1200 alumni from over 300 universities. Approximately 75% of Hollings Alumni continue on to graduate school in NOAA mission fields.

Apply now for Native American Research Assistantships
The U.S. Forest Service (USFS), Premier Partner of The Wildlife Society, is sponsoring a research assistantship program for Native American students. This is the second year for the program, which will facilitate mentoring opportunities for USFS Research & Development (R&D) scientists with the students and promote student advancement and training for careers in natural resource and conservation-related fields. The USFS uses an ecological science-based approach to make informed decisions on the multiple-use management of the National Forests and Grasslands.

The Smithsonian’s Office of Fellowships and Internships has announced one-year fellowships for recent graduates of masters programs in art and archaeological conservation (or the equivalent) or conservation scientists, including those at the postdoctoral level, to conduct research and gain further training in Smithsonian centers for the conservation and research of museum collections.

NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program | NSF - National Science Foundation
The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the vitality and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) or in STEM education. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant research achievements in STEM or STEM education. NSF especially encourages women, members of underrepresented minority groups, persons with disabilities, veterans, and undergraduate seniors to apply.

Northeastern University Future Faculty Fellowship Northeastern University created the Future Faculty Fellowship (postdoctoral fellowship program) in fall 2012.
