Pre-College Opportunities

Annual CGTrader Scholarship 2017
CGTrader is the largest 3D model marketplace backed by the strong designer community of more than 500k members. CGTrader was founded with the goal to ensure fair marketplace conditions for 3D designers. Enter the CGTrader Scholarship 2017 challenge to win $3,000 for your education bills. The best submission will be awarded $2,000 while the two runners-up will receive $500 each.

Account Control Technology Foundation Scholarship
The scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited four-year college or university of the student’s choice. The program supports tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. A total of twelve (12) awards $2,000 will be granted (six for current high school seniors and six for current first-year undergraduates).

NASA Internships 
Educational hands-on traineeships that provide unique NASA-related research and operational experiences for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students as well as educators. These internships integrate participants with career professionals emphasizing mentor-directed, degree-related, real-world task completion. During the internship participants engage in scientific or engineering research, development, and operations activities. In addition, there are non-technical internship opportunities to engage in professional activities which support NASA business and administrative processes.

 

Undergrad Opportunities

Archeology Intern- Canyon de Chelly National Monument
You will assist park archaeologists with archaeological surveys, recording and monitoring archaeological sites, traditional cultural properties, and Navajo cultural landscapes. You’ll manage archaeological site files and computer databases, and possibly assist park staff with archival projects.

National Trail System 50th Anniversary Events & VIP support intern
The National Park Service office of the National Trails Intermountain Region (NTIR) is seeking a highly qualified intern to coordinate volunteer-sponsored events for the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System Act (NTS), and to assist NTIR with its volunteer (VIP) program.

Native Student Travel Scholarships: Connecting STEM ad Justice
The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is looking for five (5) qualified undergrad or grad students to attend the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference in Philadelphia on October 21-24, 2017, which brings together thousands of professionals from federal, state, local, and tribal organizations. Funding includes registration, airfare, lodging, ground transportation, baggage, meals, and incidental expenses.

ATNI Climate Change Internship Program
We are currently looking for three (3) Climate Change Research Interns and three (3) Climate Change Management Interns; providing an opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of strategy, policy and political activity related to climate change impacts and related research needs. Candidates will be considered from a range of academic backgrounds including but not limited to politics, public affairs, social policy, legal, engineering, environmental science, environmental management, or similar degree. To eligible, the applicant must be current postsecondary undergraduates or graduate students who are pursuing a degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, network engineering, and telecommunications. The NANOG helps to support networking and engineering education through their scholarships.

Neuroscience Scholars Program (NSP) 2017 Call for Applications | DEADLINE: MAY 24
The Neuroscience Scholars Program (NSP) is an extensive two-year training program open to underrepresented neuroscience graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. NSP offers live events, webinars, a library of educational resources, and an online community for seeking career connections and scientific and professional development guidance. Fifteen candidates will be selected as NSP Fellows and gain additional benefits, including access to a mentoring team and an annual travel award of $1,500 to support allowed professional development activities. All eligible applicants will be invited to become NSP Associates.
