Just in time for the 2017 AISES National Conference!  Join IBM for the September 7th webinar designed to help you build your personal brand when meeting with potential colleges and employers.

Who are you? How do you share that with mentors, networks and potential employers? These are the core questions we hope to help you answer in "Building Your Personal Brand," an interactive 45-minute webinar that will help you understand how to identify and share your "personal brand."

​Presenters

Laura graduated from SJSU in 1986. She is currently the Vice President of the Systems Services Center of Competency and Sales where she is responsible for leading a global sales organization that drives a major portion of IBM’s business worldwide. Her previous roles include vice president for IBM Storage Systems, where she drove client success and delivered high value integrated solutions with IBM storage capabilities. Additionally, she was responsible for the worldwide storage portfolio investment and business. Prior to that, she led the IBM Growth Markets unit as VP of Storage Sales, based out of Shanghai, responsible for 149 countries and driving over $1 billion in sales annually.

Ms. Guio is a recognized leader in the San Jose community. She serves as the senior location executive for IBM Silicon Valley and the IBM senior state executive for California. This position provides leadership for IBM in the community, linking corporate citizenship and employee engagement activities with strategic IBM initiatives. She is a member of the board of directors for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. She has served on the board of directors for the San José Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, and San Jose’s “Talent Task Force”, which she helped establish with the mayor of San José. She has also held leadership positions with the Bay Area Science and Innovation Consortium, and the Silicon Valley CIO forum. She helped launch IBM Silicon Valley’s Exploring Interest in Technology and Engineering summer camp, which promotes STEM careers among middle school youth. In 2004, Ms. Guio received the YWCA Tribute to Women in Industry award. Laura was born and has lived most of her life in the Bay Area, and has raised her 3 children here.

Masharn currently works as a part of the Leadership Solutions Incubator at IBM in New York City. He enables internal clients to optimize their leadership and coaching potential to allow their teams to achieve the goals they have for themselves and the business. Prior to this role he held recruitment positions within the IBM Cognitive Business and also an engagement role within the IBM Watson Business. He also has international work experience in Mexico and China as part of the IBM Human Resource Leadership Development Program. During his time at IBM he has lead numerous community service initiatives including being a Pathways in Technology (P-tech) mentor and participation in IBM’s Smarter Cities Challenge as a lead consultant in Memphis, Tennessee. Masharn founded and participates in the annual Turkey Bowl Food Drive in Atlanta, Georgia every Thanksgiving, as well as past participations in Habitat for Humanity Housing Projects in South Carolina and YearUp mentoring in Washington, D.C. Masharn is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He received his bachelor’s degree from Furman University and a graduate degree from Georgetown University. 
A 20-year IBM veteran, Peter Mostachetti started out as a storage specialist, and eventually followed his passion to Leadership Development.  With experience engaging audiences in the U.S., South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, Peter specializes in engagement, feedback, managing dilemmas, fostering collaboration, transformational leadership, and using Agile techniques to drive cultural transformation.  Peter is an accomplished actor having performed in and around the Hudson Valley, and Off-Broadway.  He is a sought-after speaker at both national and international conferences, and the United Nations.  As a NYS Licensed Master Social Worker, he has always been committed to mentoring, coaching, leading teams; helping people to find their hidden strengths and values with a mind toward moving forward.  In his spare time, he works with local area schools through the Gay, Lesbian, Education Network (GLSEN) to develop students and educators, making schools safer for all.
