BMM Testlabs Internship

Internship applications are due January 31, 2021

 

Two positions are available with AISES partner, BMM Testlabs. The internships will be located in Las Vegas, NV. The Intern will assist test engineers as part of a team responsible for: assessing gaming technology integrity, accountability and functionality; performing statistical analysis of gaming device and game probabilities; reviewing gaming device and system source code; and assisting with the development of testing procedures.

 

Interns Are Provided:

  • Round-trip airfare or mileage to internship site up to $500
  • Weekly stipend - $500
  • Dormitory lodging at UNLV arranged by AISES
  • Weekly Local transportation allowance - $50
  • Please note that lodging is for the intern only. Family and friends cannot be accommodated, as each intern will be assigned another intern as a roommate whenever feasible. These provisions are non-negotiable.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must have a 3.0 minimum grade point average (GPA) (on a 4.0 scale);
  • Applicant must be current AISES Member;
  • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen;
  • Applicants must be enrolled and pursuing the following degrees in an undergraduate or graduate program of an accredited college or university:
    • Computer Science/Computer Programming
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
  • Some consideration may be given to the following degrees in an undergraduate or graduate program of an accredited college or university:
    • Mathematics/Statistics
    • Management Information Systems
    • Information Technology
    • Network/System Admin
  • Undergraduate juniors going into their senior year in college are eligible for participation.

AISES Membership

All internships require that applicants be current AISES members at the time of application. All applicants will be required to enter a valid AISES membership number. To get a membership number join AISES or retrieve your membership number through AISES Membership Portal.

 

Student Status

Students must be a full-time junior going into their senior year or be a senior undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited four-year college/university at the time of application.

 

Tribal Citizenship

Applicants must be: an enrolled citizen or a decedent of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village. Enrollment documents and/or a copy of birth certificate(s) showing descendancy from an enrolled citizen, are acceptable. Applicant may also, instead, provide a copy of their Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood or Certificate of Degree of Alaska Native Blood (CDIB) card.
