Announcing the 2019 Annual Report!

 

We are pleased to share with you the 2019 Annual Report for the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES).

 

As you read through this report, be proud of the part that you played in all the accomplishments AISES achieved. 2019 was a year of learning and change as we continue to chart our course in the promotion of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to meet the needs of AISES students and professionals. It was a productive year and AISES made astonishing growth in key areas. Deserving special mention are:

  • Welcoming an impressive group of Indigenous STEM professional from the U.S. and Canada as new board members.
  • Completing a five-year strategic plan with the board and staff, and input from partners and members guiding AISES in 2020 and beyond.
  • Welcoming three “first ever” Tribal Chapters whose participation will increase STEM educational and professional opportunities in tribal communities.
  • Providing Indigenous STEM students over $1 million in academic and travel scholarships.

AISES provides different opportunities and experiences to a broad network of supporters and community partners. Our events, programs, resources, and networks are all critical to academic and career success. Our work is transformative because it helps students to imagine new possibilities, tap into their strengths, and achieve incredible things.

 

We are in this together! We grow by bringing others into our circle of family and community to build the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators. Help us broaden our reach by sharing the Annual Report with your networks.
