Get ready for the AISES National Conference College and Career Fair with a webinar from DiscoveryE presented by Dr. Mike Smith on how to be prepared! The impression you make throughout your conference experience, and especially at career fairs should be your BEST representation of YOU, because remember, you only get ONE chance to make a first impression. This interactive session will equip pre-college and collegiate students alike with the tools needed to represent themselves appropriately and bring their “A” game at the career fair and throughout the conference. The session includes an interactive portion where YOU get a chance to practice the art of selling yourself.

US National Student Representative Application is Available

Deadline: Friday, September 3, 2021

 

The Junior U.S. National Student Representative is elected by the U.S. student members and serves as non-voting members of the Board of Directors. This is a two-year term. Student Representatives evaluate common issues and concerns and make recommendations for ways to improve AISES’ member services. Election of the U.S. Junior National Student Representative take place at the AISES National Conference at the U.S. National Student Caucus on Saturday, September 23, 2021. .

This series will be showcasing the upcoming AISES College and Career Readiness Guidebook. Join us each evening to hear from professionals and students in the AISES family as we provide a space to share navigational tools to help students on their journey to college. The webinars are open to everyone but are designed for high school students. All webinars will start at 4:00 pm MDT.

AISES National Conference Pre-College Student Event: hackAISES: Mini-Hackathon - Sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank

This year’s hackathon will feature a wide selection of projects from novice to advanced levels, including the Internet of Things (IoT), bot competitions, programable cars, arcade games, and of course, you can bring your own project ideas to get support and feedback. The projects are intended for the middle-school-aged through high school and beyond. Every attendee will receive their very own IoT device to take home and continue to grow and learn. There will be prizes and giveaways throughout the sessions. Bring your laptop IF you have one, but that is NOT a requirement as we will have spare laptops to use. This event is for middle school and high school students. Also open to chaperones.

STEM Activity Day will feature a Marketplace where middle school and high school students can learn more about AISES pre-college opportunities and gain valuable professional development skills such as resume building, college application tips, AISES opportunities and more! Arizona Indigenous Students & Educators, this event is free for you! .

 

Virtual College and Career Fair

Friday, October 15, 2021

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. MDT

 

In addition to the in-person AISES National Conference College and Career Fair on September 24, 2021, AISES will host a Virtual College and Career Fair on Friday, October 15, 2021 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (MDT). All registered attendees and exhibitors will have the option to attend the Virtual College and Career Fair. During the Virtual College and Career Fair exhibitors can post content to share with attendees, such as flyers, documents, videos, and more. Virtual attendees are provided with a virtual briefcase to store documents. Booths also provide chat forums to interact with attendees and have the option of one-on-one video/audio chat between exhibitor and attendee.
