hackAISES: mini-hackathon
12:00 pm to 8:00 pm

AISES is looking for 30-40 hackers to build projects and 12-16 professional members to volunteer as mentors during the mini-hackathon.  If you ever had a great app idea but didn't know where to go from there, hackAISES is for you! You can create anything from scratch (or if you already started working on something feel free to bring it, as long as you are okay showing it to others) and implement your creative ideas.

Mayo Clinic Tour (Off-Site Tour)
7:30 am to 5:30 pm

Mayo Clinic was once again named the best hospital in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. You are invited to visit Mayo Clinic, to visit with care providers and staff, to get a “behind the scenes” view of technology used in health care delivery, to get hands-on experiences in laboratories, and to witness what keeps Mayo at the top of hospital ratings. Mayo staff will accompany attendees on a bus to and from the convention center, introducing you to the Mayo Clinic story, sharing information on education and enrichment opportunities at Mayo, and answering questions. If you have a strong interest in a health career, consider signing up to shadow one of our providers.

Delta TechOps Tour (Off-Site Tour)
12:30 pm to 4:00 pm

Ever wonder what it takes for an airline to maintain their fleet of aircraft?  At Delta, over 10,000 professionals comprise our Technical Operations division, which is responsible for performing all maintenance and engineering activities to support Delta’s flying operations. With a fleet of over 800 aircraft, it is a complex and challenging task. Come take a tour of our Minneapolis maintenance facilities where we maintain the most reliable fleet in the U.S.  You will also learn about different career opportunities at Delta Air Lines.  Welcome Aboard!

Delta will have a team member ride the bus from the Convention Center to the Base Maintenance facility and back with the candidates.

3M Innovation Center Tour (Off-Site Tour)

Open to college juniors and seniors with a cumulative 3.0 GPA a or higher. Sign-up required during registration.

CHS Foundation Tour (Off-Site Tour)
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

CHS is the nation’s largest farmer-owned cooperative and a global energy, grains and foods business. CHS is committed to helping its customers, farmer-owners and other stakeholders grow their businesses through its domestic and global operations. CHS is thrilled to welcome students attending the 2016 AISES National Conference to its corporate headquarters to learn more about the company and its operations throughout the country, meet CHS business unit experts, hear from engineers, as well as learn about available career and internship opportunities.
