AISES Intel Growing The Legacy Scholarship Program

Scholarship Application is Available for Academic Year 2022-2023

 

AISES is proud to partner with Intel Corporation and the Intel Scholars program, which aims to expand access and opportunity, and to increase the pipeline of diverse STEM talent. The program provides scholarships for Native American students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in STEM. Scholarship awards are $5,000 for undergraduate students and $10,000 for graduate students.

 

The Intel Scholars program goes beyond direct financial support by providing impactful career-building opportunities for its awardees, including an Intel mentorship program, exposure to Intel job opportunities, career-focused training and workshops, mental health and wellness support, and more.

 

While this Program is not automatically renewing, awardees are encouraged to re-apply each year.

 

Scholarship Amount

$10,000 per academic year for Graduate students (Masters and Doctoral students)

$5,000 per academic year for Undergraduate students (College Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors)

$5,000 per academic year for Native Next Generation students (2022-2023 In-coming college freshman)

 

Eligible Degrees

Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Neuroscience, Physics, Software Engineering.

 

Student Status

Students must be a U.S. citizen, enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university, and be pursuing a bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree.

 

Grade Point Average

Must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.

 

Tribal Citizenship

Applicants must be an enrolled citizen or a descendant of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village; or Native Hawaiian or descendant from a Native Hawaiian; or Pacific Islander or descendant from Pacific Islander; or Indigenous person of Canada. Enrollment documents and/or a copy of birth certificate(s) showing descendancy from an enrolled citizen, Indigenous group of Canada, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander are acceptable. Applicants may also, instead, provide a copy of their Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood or Certificate of Degree of Alaska Native Blood (CDIB) card. Please note, AISES may not always have scholarships available for non-citizens of the United States.

 

AISES Membership

All scholarships require applicants be current AISES members at the time of application. All applicants will be required to enter a valid AISES membership number. To get a membership number join AISES or retrieve your membership number through AISES Membership Portal.

 

AISES membership is now FREE for all pre-college and college students!

 

Application Deadline

AISES Intel Scholarship application deadline is May 31, 2022 at 10:59 PM (PDT); 11:59 PM (MDT); 12:59 AM (CDT); 1:59 AM (EDT).
