2020 AISES National Conference Virtual Scholarships

2020 AISES National Conference

Virtual Scholarships

The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is pleased to announce the extension of the scholarship application period for students to virtually attend the 2020 National Conference from October 15-17, 2020! Because the National Conference will be completely virtual this year, the scholarship will now only cover the registration costs.

If you have already submitted your application with AISES, you do not have to submit again.

If you are an American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander or an Indigenous person from Canada and are pursuing a STEM education, the AISES Virtual National Conference is the place to be! Attendance will allow students to explore the role of STEM in meeting the challenges of a global society and expand the experience and leadership opportunities of young professionals in STEM. Students will be able to virtually meet researchers, practitioners, and leaders currently engaged in STEM studies and careers.

Applicants will be reviewed on the quality of their essay and explanations of why and how attending the AISES Virtual National Conference will benefit them, the letters of recommendation, the student’s involvement with AISES, and the strength of their GPA.

National Conference Virtual Scholarship winners will be announced by September 11, 2020.

We encourage AISES partners to share this opportunity and information with their colleagues and networks. For more information on this opportunity, please contact Brianna Hall, Programs Coordinator, at bhall@aises.org.

Application Deadline is August 31, 2020

We can’t wait to see you at this year’s virtual event!
