Now an All Virtual Conference

 

In light of the unfolding situation involving the coronavirus (COVID-19) and in an effort to protect the health and safety of all our attendees, the 2020 AISES National Conference is now a virtual, online-only event. The 2020 AISES National Conference was originally scheduled to take place in Spokane, Washington. At this time, it is impossible to predict when the city of Spokane would be in a phase for safe gatherings. The all-virtual conference will take place during the same timeframe from October 15-17, 2020 with some preconference events on October 14.

 

Registration for the 2020 AISES National Conference is open and all attendees must register by October 5 to receive access to the event. The new virtual rates are equivalent to the former early bird AISES member rates of $99 for pre-college and college students and $299 for professionals. Current cancellation policies still apply. The virtual rate ends October 5 but

 

The virtual conference platform will include most of the traditional in-person activities through the including networking suites, an opening ceremony, sessions for all tracks, research presentations, Indian Country’s largest College and Career Fair, and so much more.

 

Here are a few highlights of the all-virtual 2020 AISES National Conference.

  • Full access to the AISES virtual conference for the duration of the event
  • The Largest in Indian Country. Attendees will be able to interact with exhibitors through chats and video calls.
  • 60 live and pre-recorded events. Attendees will be able to chat with presenters to ask questions and take live polls, surveys and quizzes.
  • Research Competitions (virtual oral and poster presentations)
  • Multi-sessions and Multi tracks in STEM, Business, Research and Educator Topics
  • Impressive Keynote Speakers
  • Access to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies including entertainment
  • Student Awards Ceremony
  • Engagement in virtual networking sessions
  • Opportunity to participate in a virtual talking circle
  • Virtual STEM Activity Day
  • Virtual hackAISES (hackathon)
  • Games, scavenger hunts and other activities throughout the conference.
  • The ability to interact and chat with conference attendees, sponsors, partners, and exhibitors.

Despite the redesign of the conference the AISES staff is working diligently to make sure that you can extract all or more of the same value you would receive from attending this event in-person.
