2016 AISES National Conference Student Research Competition – Call for Abstracts

Calling all undergraduate and graduate students who have recently completed or are involved in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) research!

We invite you to PRESENT and COMPETE at the 2016 AISES National Conference in Minneapolis, MN, this November 10-12, 2016!  This call is for both Oral and Poster research presentations.

This is an opportunity to receive feedback on your completed research, add a presentation citation to your resume/CV, and compete for awards and prizes!

Eligibility

  • Current AISES member.  http://www.aises.org/membership
  • Currently a high school junior/senior or registered in an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Have conducted research in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. 

How it Works

  • ORAL Presentations: To submit an oral research presentation please fill out the online form, and select the oral research presentation option in the field “Presentation Type”
    • Open only to Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students
    • Oral presentations will take place November 10th & 11th (Thursday & Friday).
  • POSTER Presentations: To submit a poster presentation please fill out the online form, and select the poster research presentation option in the field “Presentation Type”
    • Open to High School Juniors and Seniors, Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students
    • Poster research presentations will take place in the exhibit hall with the career fair on November 11th from 9am to 5pm.  Judging times are TBD.
  • Each session will last 30 minutes: 20 minutes of presentation, 5 minutes of Q&A, and 5 minutes for transition to the next research session.  Each session room will be equipped with a computer with internet access, projector, screen, and microphone.
     
  • Only one presenter is allowed per research presentation.  Presenters are allowed to submit multiple proposals, however only one research presentation per person will be accepted.
