Are you a student leader and an involved member of AISES?

We still need candidates from Region 1, Region 2, and Region 3 to fill the Regional Student Representative positions and a candidate for the Jr. Canadian National Student Representative.

 

Student Representatives engage with their peers in their respective regions, evaluate common issues and concerns among members, and make recommendations for ways to improve AISES’ member services.

 

To apply to become an AISES Student Representative, complete an application and include the following:

  • 250-word essay proposing how you would effectively represent your national/regional constituents
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation establishing personal participation in local AISES chapter (if applicable) and leadership qualities and experiences within and outside of AISES
  • Unofficial transcripts

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (Jr. Canadian National Rep)
  • Cumulative grade point average of 2.75 (Regional Student Rep)
  • Current AISES membership
  • Sophomore level or higher
  • Major in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics

Deadlines to Submit Application

  • Jr. Canadian National Representative applications due May 15, 2022.
  • Regions 1, 2, and 3 Regional Student Representative applications due May 30, 2022.
