2008 Leadership Award Winners

The American Indian Science & Engineering Society Announces the 2008 Leadership Award Winners at the 2008 Leadership Conference, MISSION: Excellence.  These individuals were selected to receive these awards by the participants at the Leadership Conference.

Rising Leader
An individual that demonstrated a desire to become a leader and is viewed as a future leader.

Recipient:    Jenna Parisien
        Region 5 Student Representative
        University of North Dakota

Most Outgoing
An individual that has been personable, outgoing and friendly.  A person that made a great effort to meet others and learn about them.

Recipient:    Tabbi Whipple   
        Region 2 Student Co-Representative
        San Diego State University

Chapter Advisor
A Chapter Advisor that participants learned the most from at the Leadership Conference.  Students were required to nominate an Advisor other than their own.

        Dine’ College – Shiprock

Leadership
An individual that has most demonstrated the qualities of a leader – including communication skills, respect, integrity, vision, and goals.
