Dave Risling Scholarship Recipient Fall 2009 National Society of Collegiate Scholars Member 2008-Present My interests include being involved in the Native community at and around UC Davis and becoming more aware about social justice issues. I also participate in my traditional Pomo dancing. I am currently pursuing a B.A. in Psychology as well as Native American Studies so that when I enter the field of Psychology I can have a more holistic understanding of issues facing the larger Native community. My ultimate goal is to come back to my or another Indian community and work with the children, adolescents, and families that have been affiliated with the justice system. |
