AISES Professional

Greetings! Currently I work together with the School of Mines & Technology Advisor Scott Wiley and AISES student members at the School of Mines as a Program Assistant. Since I have been on board (October 2008) I helped launch and coordinate an annual Native Graduation Feathering Ceremony that includes many traditional Lakota lifeways to honor our Native graduates. In addition I just recently helped design our first ever SDSM&T AISES Newsletter which was mailed to all our Native American alumni. I assist the students in all their community outreach endeavors from taco fundraising sales to Engineer Week at the Rapid City Club for Boys. I am proud to serve with these students to try to strengthen our SDSM&T chapter and currently one of our students, AISES President, ADam Dell was just voted in as Region V Rep! I am also a freelance journalist that writes for the new Native Legacy Magazine - the premier Great Plains Arts & Culture magazine (www.nativelegacy.org) Thank you.
