Twyla is an enrolled member of the Mandan, Hidatsa, & Arikara Nations of North Dakota.  She was born and raised on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation, a member of the Water Buster Clan, and a daughter of the Knife Clan.  She resides in Grand Forks, ND and is a doctoral candidate at the University of North Dakota. 

Twyla Baker-Demaray has been a part of AISES since her middle school years, and has served many officer positions in several AISES college chapters.  She currently serves as the Senior National Student Representative.
