Membership

The current AISES membership cycle is August 1, 2009 to July 31, 2010.  
All memberships processed after April will be extended to the following year.

Membership Classification
There are two classifications of membership:

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP

General members are the voting members of AISES.  A General member is classified as an American Indian or Alaska Native who has a bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or science; having an associate's degree in engineering or science with engineering or scientific work experience; having a bachelor's degree in engineering technology with engineering work experience.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Associate membership is open to any interested individual who does not qualify for General Membership.

       49% college and graduate students
       51% professionals
• More than 10,000 alumni
• 1,030 Sequoyah (lifetime) Fellows
• 172 Chartered College Chapters
• 10 Professional Chapters
• 173 K-12 Affiliated Schools impacting over 55,000 Native students

In all, members from over 200 Native Nations are represented within AISES
